Nourishing Dreams: A Bright Future for 120 kids!

Hunger is an evil that hundreds of Colombian families face daily with uncertainty and anguish, snatching the well-being of those who suffer from it.

Fabián is one of many young people who has grown up in poverty belts, where unsatisfied basic needs and informal employment do not allow them to progress.

He lives in Bogotá, in the La Estrella neighborhood of Ciudad Bolívar. A year ago, he began to study for a technical degree, hoping to have a better future for himself and his family and wishing for a better job to improve his quality of life. A simple challenge for many, but a huge one for him because he has to take care of getting food daily for his family, along with his educational responsibilities.

Through this specific project and with the support of GlobalGiving donors, like you, The Bogotá Food Bank supports more than 900 people through 14 institutions settled in vulnerable city areas. We bring them balanced and healthy food baskets once a month so that thousands of young people and families can remain and succeed at school. They can wish for a better and decent job that will improve their quality of life forever while looking for better opportunities and not only for a plate of food daily.
