Ramadan Food Baskets Reach 250 Families

By Admin saed | Admin

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Syrian families begin their spiritual and practical preparations despite the heavy economic hardship they face. For many vulnerable households, Ramadan is not only about worship and reflection—it is also a time of deep concern about how to provide even a simple meal to break their fast together.

Recognizing this urgent need, Saed Charity implemented a Ramadan food basket distribution project targeting the most vulnerable families. A total of 250 families benefited from this initiative, selected through careful criteria to ensure assistance reached orphans, widows, elderly individuals, and households that lost their primary sources of income.

The food baskets were distributed  allowing families to prepare and welcome the blessed month with dignity and peace of mind. Each basket contained essential food items sufficient to cover the initial days of Ramadan, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, bulgur, pasta, legumes, dates, and other key staples commonly needed during the holy month.

The distribution moments were deeply moving. Mothers expressed heartfelt gratitude, relieved that they could prepare proper iftar meals for their families. Children showed genuine excitement, knowing they would begin Ramadan without the fear of hunger. This assistance represented far more than food—it was a message of solidarity, compassion, and shared humanity.

Bringing reassurance to 250 families before Ramadan is a meaningful step, yet the needs remain significant. Many more households continue to struggle to secure their basic necessities during this sacred time.

We invite you to donate and share this report with your friends and family. Your generosity can help extend the blessings of Ramadan to even more families in need.
