Dear Donors,
A family can lose almost everything in a single night.
A home can be abandoned. A farm can be left behind. Food stored for the coming months can be lost. Parents can take their children and run, not knowing where they will sleep or what they will eat the next morning.
This remains the reality for thousands of families displaced by violence across Nigeria.
Recent reports show that the situation has not eased. UNHCR says nearly 500,000 people are forcibly displaced in Benue State alone, where repeated attacks continue to uproot families. In September, an attack in Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area, left four police officers and seven civilians dead.
Across Benue and Zamfara, UNFPA estimates that 724,543 people are displaced, with women and children among those carrying much of the burden.
And this is happening while hunger is already affecting millions.
The World Food Programme estimates that nearly 35 million Nigerians face acute food insecurity in 2026. FAO also reports that conflict, displacement, inflation and disrupted livelihoods are making it harder for families to afford food.
For a displaced parent, these figures are not just numbers.
They mean wondering where the next meal will come from.
They mean children going to bed hungry.
They mean mothers trying to stretch a small amount of food across several children.
They mean families who once grew their own food now depending on whatever help reaches them.
This is why Feed Nigerian Families in Crisis Facing Hunger remains so important.
Clarion Times Foundation plans to provide displaced families with food and basic household supplies, including charcoal stoves for preparing meals. We also plan to support families living in unsafe temporary shelters, including those sleeping in makeshift structures, while giving priority to children, women and older people.
We know that food alone cannot replace a home, a farm or a lost livelihood. But when a family has gone through violence and displacement, a food package can mean a meal tonight. A cooking stove can mean being able to prepare that meal. A safe place to sleep can mean a mother does not have to spend another night worrying about her children.
We are asking you to stand with these families.
Your support can help us reach people who have already lost so much and are now facing the simple question of how to feed their children.
Please consider supporting this project, sharing it with someone who may care, or starting a fundraiser on our behalf.
Every family deserves food. Every child deserves to sleep without hunger.
Thank you for standing with Nigerians facing hunger and displacement.
