Since May, we have seen an outpouring of volunteer time and financial support which has allowed us to feed over 2,000 families. Some of these included milk formula and other specialized things for many handicapped children for our 1,000 family drive in October.
May fed 553 families at 6 different events. Many of these were to the marginalized Thai Yai community.
June fed 518 families and 1,040 people at 6 different events. Much of the COVID restrictions were now lifted in Thailand but many of those who work in tourism continue to be unemployed as tourists are still restricted from travel into Thailand.
July partnered with TawSaeng to deliver food to 25 families and 50 people
August fed 38 families and 80 people
September much of the work was focused on the preparation to feed 1,000 handicapped Thai families which required some special food packages specific to the needs of the families. Still fed 307 people
October fed over 1,000 families over 4 days in partnership with the Wheelchair Project, TawSaeng and local community/village leaders. For this event to be successful required over 50 foreign and Thai volunteers and the partnership of Thai companies who sold products at no profit. We are so grateful to those who sweated over many days to make this successful.
We are so proud of what 1 person has done in partnership with so many to keep feeding families affected from COVID even though life has returned to normal to so many others. Won't you help us continue to distribute food as we mentor to these individuals?
