In camps across Nigeria, Christian families who fled violence sit down to empty plates and worried faces. This project will provide daily nutritious meals to these internally displaced persons (IDPs), many of whom lost homes, fields, and hope. With your aid, mothers will prepare hot meals for their children again, children will go to sleep without hunger, and the community will feel seen and cared for.
Violence, farming disruptions and forced displacement have left Christian households without steady food sources. Many live in crowded camps or makeshift shelters where supplies are inconsistent. Reports show children and adolescents in IDP camps face severe hunger and malnutrition. Women and older people struggle the most, asking "Where will the next meal come from?" with nothing to answer but uncertainty.
This program will deliver hot meals each day to selected IDP camps housing Christian families. Care teams led with local faith-based groups will serve rice, beans, vegetables and safe drinking water. Each day, volunteers will register families served, monitor children's health, and adapt the menu to local culture so meals feel familiar. In doing so, we bring relief and a sense of belonging back into the displaced community.
With regular meals, families will recover strength, children will attend any nearby schooling without hunger, and caregivers will face one less worry at night. Consistent food stability will help reduce illness and bring mental relief to those who feel left behind. Shared meals will renew a sense of trust and belonging among displaced believers who long to feel home again.
