It's been a challenging start to 2022 across Africa. We have seen LBTQ women become victims of violence across some African Countries and with it still being illegal in many countries resulting in less support for the LGBTQ+ community has led to high levels of depression during COVID.
Now life is returning back to normal after the pandemic. We are excited (funding permitted) to be launching the next phase of this project. We have a dedicated partner and team in South Africa that if we secure the funding over the next quarter are ready to start working with key influencers, advocacy groups to start building capacity enhancement through our support team.
We are hoping to run workshops and provide mentoring for new groups across Africa as the success of this project is in partnerships to build awareness across Africa. In addition to this we have requests for organisational support to improve their support packages for the LGBTQ+ community and we have started to produce resources and training to African communities.
There is so much more work to do and with future funding to this project we have a robust action plan to really start transforming the way people work and think in 2022!
Thanks,
