Appreciation

We extend our sincere gratitude to GlobalGiving for the opportunity to share our mission with the world and to our donors, followers, and partners who continue to believe in the vision of ending hunger and food insecurity in rural Nigeria.

Although we have not received any new donations yet, your interest, encouragement, and solidarity strengthen our resolve to keep pushing forward. Every message, share, and show of support keeps our team inspired and hopeful.

Thank you for walking with us on this journey to ensure that no child or family goes to bed hungry.

 Project Overview

The Fight Hunger & Food Insecurity in S/East Nigeria project is dedicated to tackling one of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges — hunger.

Our goal is to provide sustainable food support, nutritional education, and agricultural empowerment to vulnerable households across Imo, Abia, and Enugu States.

Between July and September 2025, our team focused on community-level groundwork and program preparation to strengthen our hunger response and prepare for our December 2025 Food Relief Campaign.

Key Activities This Quarter

Community Needs Assessment:

Our field team visited rural communities in Ahiazu Mbaise and parts of Enugu State to assess the severity of food shortages and identify high-need households.

Beneficiary Profiling:

We identified and registered 120 vulnerable households — including widows, elderly persons, and low-income farmers — who will benefit from the December food distribution.

Partnership Mobilization:

We engaged with local farmers, cooperative societies, and market women to establish a supply network for affordable and nutritious food items.

Planning for December Food Relief Campaign:

Preparations are underway for our annual “Feed the Hungry, Restore Hope” outreach in December 2025, where we aim to distribute food packs, nutritional supplements, and seeds for small home gardens.

Looking Ahead (October–December 2025)

The next quarter is our action phase. We are determined to make this year’s end a time of nourishment and joy for hundreds of families who have faced hunger all year.

Our upcoming goals include:

Launching the December Food Relief Campaign across three states

Setting up a Community Food Bank Pilot in Imo State

Distributing starter packs for home-grown vegetable farming

Engaging youth volunteers to drive awareness on hunger reduction

A Call to Action: GivingTuesday – December 2, 2025

As we approach GivingTuesday (December 2, 2025), we invite you to stand with us in the fight against hunger.

Your gift—no matter the size—can fill an empty plate, restore dignity, and bring hope to families struggling to survive.

Join us to feed lives and fight food insecurity this GivingTuesday.

Final Words

We remain grateful for your trust and partnership. Together with GlobalGiving and compassionate individuals like you, we believe we can build a future where every household has food, every child has strength, and every community thrives in dignity.

Thank you for being part of this mission.

Let’s make the last quarter of 2025 a season of shared compassion and impact.

warmest Regards,

Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation (SOHF)
