Dear donors,
We are writing to inform you of the closure of our GlobalGiving project, ‘IDOTCOVID — Fighting Covid-19’. This IDOT (International Database on Organ Donation and Transplantation) campaign was a project that aimed to create an international database that includes all solid organ transplanted patients infected with COVID-19. The database was to include anonymized data regarding medical history, transplant history, medication and COVID19 history. Following this, a Decision Support Algorithm (DSA) was to be developed and trained, derived from the already available information on the database, to explore and predict outcomes.
The long-term goal of IDOTCOVID — Fighting Covid-19 was to provide a global perspective regarding the influence of COVID-19 on solid organ transplantations, both on donation activity as well as on transplant outcomes. As of today, the project has ended and we do not need any funds. Nonetheless, we would like to express our gratitude to all the donors who generously contributed to the project and helped us make a positive impact during these trying times.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our donors for their continued support and belief in our mission. Your contributions have enabled us to make significant impacts on the lives of those in need, and we are forever grateful for your generosity.
We assure you that we will continue to work towards positively impacting the lives of many, and we hope to have your continued support in our future projects.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
The DTI Team
