PROMOTING EARLY LITERACY THROUGH THE DONATION OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS TO LIFT COMMUNITIES OUT OF POVERTY Reading is the key to unlocking every child's full potential and opens up a world of possibilities. Being able to read well is the foundation on which so much else depends. It increases chances of getting a better job and pulling oneself out of poverty. We will visit every village in Fiji, EACH CHILD GETS ONE FREE BOOK! We aim to ship 100,000 books each year, including building libraries.
Poor education, lack of skills and a shortage of job opportunities mean many rural Fijians experience widespread extreme poverty and dire living conditions.
Using education and human capital as drivers of transformation and development. Initiative is based on the conviction that education will transform society. By donating books we cultivate a passion for reading in young children who do not normally have access to books and who could not afford to own a book. We provide high quality books, with vivid colors and rich full page illustrations that captivate and engage the young reader. We currently have a network of 1000 Volunteers ready in Fiji.
Children are not only the future of the world, but educated children are indeed the guarantors of a future that can ensure that more communities are uplifted from poverty and transported into prosperity. This project aims to impact 100,000 children in Fiji each year, converting them into future high power contributing members of society and empowering them to rise out of poverty.
