Stand with LGBTQ+ Communities at a Historic Moment

By Megumi Takai | Fundraising coordinator

Dear Friends,

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the courage, resilience, and joy of LGBTQ+ communities. It is also a reminder that the work of creating a society where everyone can live openly, safely, and authentically is far from over.

This year is especially significant. Japan is awaiting a highly anticipated Supreme Court decision related to marriage equality—a decision that could have profound implications for LGBTQ+ people and their families across the country. Regardless of the outcome, this is a pivotal moment for our community.

At times like these, community matters more than ever.

Pride Center Osaka serves as a vital hub for connection, support, education, and belonging. It is a place where LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies can find resources, build relationships, and strengthen the movement for a more inclusive society.

As public attention turns toward LGBTQ+ rights and equality, we must ensure that our community has the support and resources it needs. That is why we are asking for your help.

This Pride Month, we invite you to make a gift to Pride Center Osaka and invest directly in the well-being of LGBTQ+ people in Japan.

Your donation helps:

  • Maintain a safe and welcoming community space
  • Expand programs and events that foster connection and belonging
  • Provide resources and support for LGBTQ+ individuals and families
  • Strengthen advocacy and education efforts that advance inclusion and equality
  • Ensure that LGBTQ+ people know they are supported, valued, and never alone

The months ahead will be important for LGBTQ+ communities across Japan. At this historic moment, your support can help ensure that Pride Center Osaka remains a source of strength, hope, and community for everyone who needs it.

Please consider making a Pride Month gift today.

Thank you for standing with us and for helping build a future where everyone can thrive.

With gratitude,

Megumi
