Helping Students Transition Successfully into Secondary Education
The transition from primary to secondary school is often a difficult period for children from low-income families. Many students face the risk of dropping out due to the increased costs associated with secondary education. During this reporting period, Good Cause Foundation continued supporting vulnerable learners by covering school fees, providing scholastic materials, and supporting school lunch programs.
The support enabled students to enroll in secondary schools on time and begin the academic year without interruption. Beneficiaries received exercise books, pens, mathematical sets, and other essential learning materials that improved their preparedness for school.
Regular monitoring visits revealed that supported students maintained strong attendance records and were actively participating in academic activities. Parents expressed relief and gratitude, noting that the support had reduced financial stress and encouraged them to remain involved in their children's education.
Challenges: Some families continue to struggle with transportation and boarding costs, highlighting additional areas where support is needed.
Future Plans: Expand educational assistance to reach more students transitioning into secondary education and strengthen parental engagement activities.
Thank You: Your support is helping vulnerable children take an important step toward achieving their educational goals and building brighter futures.
