IDA wrapped up 2023 with another year in which we helped millions of lives through our 68 shipments valued at over $50 million. Peru remains a key focus of our mission. Andean residents living in poverty, who have suffered terribly from the floods, remain a very vulnerable demographic. VIDA has been building programs over the past 30 years to alleviate the challenges facing those living in poverty.
As always, basic healthcare infrastructure remains a primary challenge. Providing the basic equipment, supplies and medicine to the clinics serving these vulnerable populations will remain a primary initiative of VIDA. VIDA is expecting 2024 to once again be a challenging year and we are prepeared to respond with 25 plus shipments.
