We thank you so much for the donation you sent to Destiny Hope Foundation through GlobalGiving to support Food and Education in our area.
Through your good support we were able to purchase food stuff i.e 115kg of maize, 5 litres of cooking oil. 40pieces of school exercise books and donated directly to Golden Star Day Care. This school is helping children ranging from 3yrs to 6 yrs with school uniforms, school stationeries, meals and preliminary education. The school does charge small fees from parents each month to cover the school needs such as teacher salaries, water bills and electricity bills but other parents do fail to pay due to economic challenges. The donated food stuff will help children to have enough meals at school as they will use maize flour to cook porridge in the morning and for cooking Ugali (polenta) for their lunch. Cooking oil will be used for cooking stews, beans and vegetables to accompany their daily meals. Exercise books will be used by students in their classrooms for learning and writing notice of different subjects at school. Teachers and children appreciated a lot for great gift you donated to them through Destiny Hope Foundation.
