Hi Dear donors & Friends,
When we were at the Themi Primary School for the Menstrual Health Education last week(see other report), we also distributed school supplies using the generous donation we received earlier this year.
We were able to purchase 600 exercise books and 240 pencils, which were given to the pupils to support their studies. The teachers, students, and local government officials expressed their sincere appreciation for his support.
During our visit, we met a visually impaired girl student who is performing very well in her studies. The teachers shared that she lost her sight a few years ago after an incidence, involving juice that affected her eyes. She is in need of specialized medical treatment. In the meantime, the school is doing its best to support her by ensuring she has a fellow student to assist her during school hours.
If you want to join our next event the students will be very happy. We save donations until we have enough funding to give a whole class books and we don't lose all the funding to travel expensis.
We have a micro project on GG at the moment for Violeth, a student who is studying for Tour Guide and is staying intern because of the distance to school. For this 2 year she searches some support.
Thanks for reading and hope you like what we are doing!
Best Regards,
Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat
