AAFF is preparing for our next round of a month's worth of staple food supplies for 120 families.
This comes at a critical time as the harsh winter is putting even more families at risk.
Additionally, the recent foreign aid freeze is likely impacting millions of Afghans as nearly 50 aid organizations across Afghanistan have been impacted.
Last year's humanitarian plan for Afghanistan was only half funded of which the U.S. contributed 40%.
The shortfall of funding in 2024 left over 6 million people in desperate need - likely surviving on a meal of bread and tea a day.
Currently, the U.N. reports, that 15 million Afghans - mostly women and children, are malnourished and in dire need of aid. The issue is compounded with rising food prices for staple food items such as flour and oil.
During this critical time, we are thankful to be able to continue to provide life-saving food aid to 120 families. Thank you for partnering with us to make that possible.
