All schools open, look out for surprise Wednesday!

By Dom Williams | Project Director

Carnival!!!
Carnival!!!

Hi there

This Wednesday, get ready for an exciting way to make your donation BIG. Keep an eye on your emails on Wednesday morning for an announcement on how to make your donation grow!

All 12 of our schools are running smoothly now, with a small break over Christmas in all but the three in Ecuador everyone was ready to be back in the first few months of the year!

In Itzapa, Guatemala, Carnival has been celebrated with a four attack with confetti! In Santa Maria doors reopened to 40 new children and those returning too.

In Honduras school started on 4th February with 150 children spread across primary secondary and college, all of these children are eager to learn, and so happy school has re-opened.

In Nicaragua 35 children have joined us in pre-school in La Thompson adding to the others returning and 107 have returned to Alexios Arguello. Term started with the all important Valentine’s Day with everyone learning the importance and of love, friendship and family.

Ecuador bought us a trip to the lakes for the children of Larcacunga, some going on a boat for the first time, a day learning about nature. They stuck to the same theme in Muenala bringing in flowers and decorating the school!

In Peru, the communities and surrounding area of our schools have been severely affected by the unseasonal heavy rains. However, unperturbed, Summer School continued through January and February, with extra classes for the children who weren't so successful in their exams at the end of 2012 to try to get ahead for the new term.

Look out for our next report on Wednesday morning, with our exciting announcement and plans for 2013 in Guatemala!

Thank you for your continued support.
