This Project aims to provide a meal daily to feed 1000 internally displaced people located in IDP camps in Southern Kaunda State, Nigeria. These people have been displaced from their homes, due to the on-going communal clashes in Southern Kaduna, Nigeria, and have taken refuge in IDP camps in Kaduna state. The main aim of the project is to solve the problem of hunger currently faced by these people in the IDP camps.
Kajuru people have been displaced from their homes due to the on-going killings and communal clashes in Southern Kaduna, they have lost loved ones and means of livelihood and have taken refuge in the IDP camps set-up by the State Government. Even though the government seems to be trying to provide for them, they still suffer from hunger, lack of basic amenities, disease transmission, and stigmatization. This project aims at providing hot meals once Daily for 1000 internally displaced persons.
This project will help solve the problem of hunger currently faced by people at the IDP camps. The objective is to provide nutritious hot meals once Daily to feed 1000 persons over a period of One (1) year. Mothers, fathers, and children at the camps will be fed a good meal, and guaranteed these meals once Daily, pending their stay at the camp before they are resettled back to their communities.
The project will touch the lives of 1000 internally displaced persons. They will be given a sense of belonging and care, that despite their present predicament, society empathizes with them and at these trying times, they will be provided a good meal once Daily for a period of a year. This we believe will fight hunger in our community and also contribute to help them resettle back positively into society when they leave the camp.
