Dear Supporters,
We are writing with an urgent update on our project to establish food banks for 500 HIV-positive orphans. While we are profoundly grateful for our first donor, the funds raised are not yet enough to begin this life-saving work.
This delay has real consequences. For a child living with HIV, going hungry means more than a stomach ache. It weakens their body's ability to handle their medication and fight off infections, turning a manageable condition into a life-threatening crisis.
Right now, a child is being told to take their antiretroviral drugs on an empty stomach. This can make them sick, and without proper nutrition, the drugs are less effective. Their fragile immune system is fighting a battle without any fuel. For these orphans, food is not just sustenance; it is an essential part of their treatment.
Our food banks are designed to be a reliable source of that fuel, weekly packages of milk, beans, and cereal to help them stay strong. But the shelves are still empty.
You can help us fill them. Your contribution will provide more than food; it will provide the strength a child needs to survive and thrive. Please, help us give them a fighting chance.
With hope,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
