Poor Children and their families in Uganda, have been hit hard by the impact of Corona Virus (Covid-19). Join us to help poor children and their families with food, masks, medicine and basic supplies.
Ugandans has massive poverty and inequity. Millions of People in local community live on less than USD 1 a day per household, and many of whom are dependent on farming so they can survive. As the Ugandans passes five (5) months of lock down restrictions, the impacts have been profound and multi-dimensional. In addition to the health emergency, the restrictions have meant millions of poor people cannot work and millions of children are out of all learning.
David Saint Care Group is directly supporting families with emergency food packs to those who are going hungry. A food pack costs USD 20 and keeps a family of 6 to 7 in food security for 10 days. In addition, David Saint care Group is focusing on keeping children safe, in particular, adolescent girls who face an increased risk during the lockdown. We are providing hygiene packs and education booklets, masks to keep safe and avoid the spread of COVID-19.
It is important that children and their families have access to nutritious diet. With your help, we can ensure that Ugandan children and their families are adequately fed, and children are able to continue learning, and are supported psychologically throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath. We know that raising the quality of life and education of each child will ensure a brighter future for their families and the community in general.
