We are raising funds to support the poor during South Africa's Lockdown and COVID-19 crisis, in our nearby township called Zandspruit, which is home to thousands of poor people with most living in shacks and little access to basic needs. Through our partnerships and community relationships we are aiming to help families with nutritional basic food supplies, basic hygiene and cleaning products. We need all the help we can get for our poor. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
The arrival of COVID-19 or the Coronavirus has left the poor and marginalised people of South Africa in dire straits as they struggle to access grants (standing in long queues for days) and not able to buy basic food and cleaning materials. Living in crowded living conditions makes them vulnerable to the virus without much help. Government resources will be constrained so they will need all the outside help they can get.
By raising funds through the global community through this platform, we can alleviate and hopefully avoid the poor suffering from hunger during this critical time. Also by providing basic hygiene and cleaning materials we are helping the poor to follow the WHO guidelines in order to avoid getting the virus.
Building sustainable long term relationships with the poor families and community of the Zandspruit township and helping them in the long term to become self-sustainable through various other projects.
