We are really excited to introduce Food Angel's new and free cook-chill meal & soup service, in addition to our usual free hot meals!
The cook-chill meal serviced is launched in April 2019 along with the opening of Harvest Mill, our new Food Processing Centre located in Kwuntong. At the new centre, cook-chill technology is adopted to provide food including soup and congee type of products. The meals and soups are chilled from 90 degrees to 4 degrees in 90 minutes after preparation, and the beneficiaries can collect them and store them at home for up to 4 days, and reheat with microwave, wok or rice cooker when they wish. This new service increases the flexibility of meal times for beneficiaries, and accommodates their dietary needs during weekends and public holidays. With this new product, we will be able to expand our service to more needy in the community.
