Canstruction HK Gala Luncheon

The CanstructionHK Exhibition and Carnival successfully concluded in Nov 2024!

To express our gratitude to our generous supporters, we hosted a gala luncheon last month at Bistro1979 for our supporting organizations and invited our elderly friends to enjoy a delicious meal together. This event featured a professional team from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Hotel and Tourism Management, including students who are the future leaders in the F&B and hotel industries, who participated in the menu design. They thoughtfully crafted 6 courses using over 20 types of canned food ingredients, embodying the spirit of Canstruction’s "#OneCanMakeADifference", and delivering love and care to those in need in our society. Our elderly friends, who seldom have the opportunity to taste exquisite Western cuisine, were very pleased with the meal.

In addition to enjoying the luncheon, we were honored to have Ms. Luanne Lim, CEO of HSBC Hong Kong, present awards for the "Canstruction Hong Kong Junior Inter-school Competition". Among the winners, Saint Antonius Girls' College received the award for “Top Fundraiser” while Laichikok Catholic Primary School won both “People’s Choice” and “Top Cans Collector” We extend our heartfelt thanks to the teachers, students and parents for their enthusiastic support, as well as citizens who contributed to nearly 100,000 votes!
