Tree Planting Report – May 11, 2025
Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal
As part of its ongoing environmental and educational initiatives, Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal successfully organized a tree planting activity on May 11, 2025, in Mohli, a rural village where the foundation recently established a school. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of donors from the GlobalGiving platform.
Background:
The school in Mohli was constructed and inaugurated in April 2025 through a collaborative effort between Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal and a partner organization from Canada. The school serves underprivileged children in the region, providing them with access to basic education in a safe and nurturing environment.
Tree Planting Activity:
Date: May 11, 2025
Location: Surroundings of the newly built school, Mohli
Number of Trees Planted: 30
Tree Types: A mix of fruit-bearing and native shade trees suitable for the local climate
Objective:
To improve the environment and biodiversity around the school
To raise awareness among students and community members about the importance of tree planting
To provide long-term benefits such as cleaner air, natural shade, and potential sources of nutrition
Execution:
The activity was organized by the local team of Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal with the active participation of teachers, students, and local volunteers. Tools and saplings were arranged in advance, and educational sessions were held to explain the importance of environmental sustainability.
Future Plans:
Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal is committed to continuing its tree planting campaigns in various parts of the country. In addition to this, the foundation remains dedicated to building schools and educational centers that serve marginalized and underserved communities.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the donors on GlobalGiving, whose generosity made this impactful initiative possible. Together, we continue to build not only schools—but also a greener and more hopeful future for Nepal’s children.
