This project will secure the salary of the nurse in charge of our free vaccination program at our medical dispensary for 24 months during the most recent financial crisis that Lebanon is passing through which have affected our program dramatically. Up to 200 children from the suburbs of Tripoli a northern city in Lebanon considered to be one of the poorest cities in the middle east benefits from our program per month free of charge.
Lebanon is recently facing a financial crisis where the national currency LBP, dropped from 1,500 per 1 USD to more than 7,000 per 1 USD losing more than 450% of its worth in less than 6 months period. This crisis affected the purchasing power dramatically and trippled expenses leading to closing thousands of institutions and thousands loosing their jobs. Our organization like any else is struggling to maintain its projects that serves up to 5,000 beneficiaries per month.
10,000 USD will secure the salary of the nurse working at our pediatric clinic in our dispensary for a period of 24 months. This will ensure that our program for providing free vaccinations for children will continue for a minimum of 24 months especially that vaccinations are provided to us free by the Ministry of Public Health.
Lebanese, Syrian, and refugee's children will be able to take their vaccination for a minimum of 24 months free of charge while we work on securing new funding for our projects.
