Forza Mamme!

The journey of renewal for the women of Forza Mamme! also involves culture and sharing. A delegation of the mothers we support on a daily basis will be attending the ‘Prima Facie’ performance at the Teatro Colosseo in Turin. For our Foundation, supporting these women means not only providing financial assistance or facilitating their return to work, but also offering opportunities for them to put themselves back at the centre of their own lives, reclaiming spaces for reflection and socialising that are often denied to those who face the challenges of raising children alone amidst countless difficulties.

Indeed, autonomy is also built by nurturing self-confidence and an awareness of one’s rights. Taking our mums to the theatre to see a play that tackles crucial issues such as consent and justice is an integral part of the empowerment programme we have been running since 2017. Many of them have experienced abandonment or violence in their pasts: seeing these issues explored through the art of Daniele Finzi Pasca and the performance of Melissa Vettore becomes a moment of healing and collective strength.

This initiative was made possible by the generosity of the Teatro Colosseo, which chose to partner with us. It confirms just how deep the bond between Specchio dei tempi and the local community is: a collaboration that allows us to go beyond immediate support to offer experiences that restore dignity and hope.
