Quarterly Project Progress Report February 2021
By Rainer Lang | Project Manager
Dear Donors and Supporters
it’s time for the first project progress in 2021 in order provide you with feedback on the past three months.
The past three months have again been strongly impacted by the second COVID-19 pandemic wave in Europe and Germany.
The second lockdown in Germany is still ongoing and along with it respective restrictions..
Still it is not possible for us to run our program face-to-face which is essential for the success especially which the refugee target group.
In order to bridge the gap in a useful manner, we have started a support campaign for system relevant people, especially in the medical profession. Our HRE program originlly designed for refugees also supports and helps nurses and physicians to cope with the strong emotional impact the pandemic creates for them.
Our further focus right now is due to COVID-19 still more on publicity and preparing for a hopefully soon coming post-COVID era when we can relaunch our refugee program again.
So far the news.
Again a BIG THANK YOU for all your support !!
We will keep you posted on further developments.
We look forward to your ongoing support and would appreciate if you also talked to family and friends about our project to spread awareness of this important matter.
Best regards
IAHV HRE Germany Team

Dear Donors and Supporters
it’s time for another report on project progress provide you with feedback on the past three months.
The past three months have been strongly impacted by the lasting COVID-19 situation in Europe and Germany.
Even though Germany has gone through the COVID-19 caused lockdown and the first infection wave comparatively smoothly, a second wave is now rolling over Europe and the just started cautious revocation of the contact restrictions risk to come back again soon.
Still it is not possible for us to run our program face-to-face which is essential for the success especially which the refugee target group.
In order to bridge the gap in a useful manner, we have successfully run a Europe-wide (even including South-Africa) online training for new trainers of our HRE program. We have also used the GlobalGiving organized World Refugee Week donation campaign for World Refugee Day on June 20th, 2020 to inform about our cause. We ended up at place #9 out of 45 thanks to your generous financial support. Through this campaign we reached out to many more new people and even received some recurrent donations for the support of our cause.
Our focus right now is due to COVID-19 still more on publicity and preparing for a hopefully soon coming post-COVID era.
So far the news.
Again a BIG THANK YOU for all your support !!

Quarterly Project Progress Report June 2020
By Rainer Lang | Project Manager
Dear Donors and Supporters
Another three months have passed and it's time to provide you with feedback regarding the progress of our project.
During the past three months our activities have been severely affected by the global COVID-19 lockdown.
Since 1st of June on the lockdown measures are slowly released and our work with refugees which is mainly contact and interaction related will be slowly coming back to normal, so we hope. We also keep our fingers crossed that no events will occur which would revert us back again.
Still, we have been working from our homes to prepare our come-back to normal and to restart our HRE trainings / courses with refugees. We have used the lockdown time to perform an online training for the trainers to have more trainer resources available.
We have also engaged in participating in the GlobalGiving sponsored World Refugee Week 15-20 June and want to inspire as many people as possible to donate for our cause. We are also addressing potential donors in our neighbor countries in the European Union to contribute as we in Germany are carrying the main load of refugees in Europe.
Unfortunately, the donations collected so far were rather small and a significant increase would be appreciated. Our special thanks go to each one of you for donating. We are very grateful to you all. Luckily we received a bigger one-off donation which allowed us to keep on going. We are more than grateful for that.
Furthermore have continued launching several attempts to contact governmental institutions in the different Federal States in Germany to present and offer our special approach in order to get our program integrated into already existing programs. The "walk through the institutions" being quite a complex one takes a lot of time. We keep our spirits high and continue following up with patience. COVID-19 has unfortunately also significantly slowed down the processing at the authorities' end.
Again a BIG THANK YOU for all your support !!
