According to child welfare reports in Tanzania, there are millions of orphans and vulnerable children across the country facing serious health and social challenges. Many of these children live in orphanages and care centers that struggle with limited resources and inadequate healthcare support. Due to poverty and inconsistent funding, many organizations are unable to meet the growing medical needs of the children under their care, project "Easy Medical Cart" was created to support these homes.
Major challenge is that many orphanages and elderly care homes in Tanzania are privately managed and rely heavily on occasional donations to survive. Because of irregular financial support, children and elderly residents often lack access to proper healthcare and medical supplies. In elderly care homes, many residents suffer from chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and other conditions that require regular medication and medical attention.
We established project "Easy Medical Cart" seeks to reduce the pressure faced by orphanages and care homes by providing consistent access to medicines, multivitamins, hygiene products, and first-aid supplies. The project is committed to improving healthcare access for vulnerable children, elderly individuals, and low-income communities across Tanzania. Its goal is to reduce preventable illnesses and diseases caused by the lack of essential medical support.
January 2024, Our Organization launched Project "Easy Medical Cart" to improve healthcare support for vulnerable communities. Since then, more than 130 children living in orphanages have received regular supplies of multivitamins and first-aid materials. In the same way, over 120 elderly individuals in care homes have benefited from consistent access to prescribed medications. The project continues to expand its outreach, strengthen healthcare support systems, and ensure the regular replenish.
