This project provides free medicines and treatments to vulnerable elderly people and orphans in low-income communities across Nigeria. Many can't afford basic treatment or transport to clinics. With rising costs and little family support, they are often left to suffer. We help by supplying medicine for chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, treating common illnesses like malaria and infections, and offering home visits through local health workers and volunteers.
In many parts of Nigeria, elderly people and orphans are left without regular medical care. Most of them live in poor communities where basic medicine is too expensive or too far away. Many are dealing with long-term illnesses like high blood pressure or diabetes, or common but dangerous infections like malaria. With little family support and rising costs, they often suffer in silence, unable to get the help they need.
This project will provide free medicines to elderly people and orphans who can't afford treatment. It will also send trained volunteers and local health workers to visit them at home with basic care kits. These visits will help manage chronic illnesses like hypertension and diabetes, treat infections like malaria early, and reduce the need for expensive hospital visits. This way, people get care before things get worse.
By making sure elderly people and orphans get regular medicine and care, this project can reduce avoidable illness and early death. Over time, it will help build trust in community health efforts and reduce the burden on already overstretched hospitals. More importantly, it can bring dignity, comfort, and better quality of life to those who are often forgotten or left behind.
