Many nurses and doctors working in rural parts of Nigeria lack mobile phones to communicate with patients or access medical updates quickly. This project will provide 50 healthcare workers with mobile phones to help them coordinate emergency care, contact hospitals, and offer better services in remote communities where communication is often difficult.
Rural healthcare workers often struggle without reliable communication tools. Many travel long distances to refer patients or wait hours for emergency help because they cannot make quick calls. This delay affects patient care, especially in maternal health and emergencies. A simple phone can save lives by connecting health workers to faster support networks.
This project will distribute 50 mobile phones to nurses and doctors in underserved areas. Each phone will be preloaded with essential health contact numbers, airtime, and basic data for communication. Training will be provided on how to use the phones for coordination, reporting cases, and seeking immediate help during medical emergencies.
With access to mobile phones, rural nurses and doctors can respond faster to emergencies, seek expert advice, and reach patients in hard-to-access locations. This small step strengthens rural healthcare delivery and ensures timely medical response. The project helps build stronger communication links that save lives every day.
