Project Report

Free Study Kits for 200 Poor School Children

Implementing Organization: Moses Welfare Foundation
Project Location: Poor and brick kiln–affected communities, Pakistan
Project Duration: 4 months
Target Beneficiaries: 200 underprivileged school children
Total Budget: USD 7,000
Funds Raised: USD 350
Funding Gap: USD 6,650

Executive Summary

The project Free Study Kits for 200 Poor School Children aims to remove one of the most basic but critical barriers to education, lack of learning materials. In Pakistan’s poor and brick kiln–affected communities, many children begin school without books, pencils, colors, or geometry boxes. This lack of resources discourages attendance, lowers academic performance, and contributes to high dropout rates.

Moses Welfare Foundation will provide complete study kits to 200 poor school children, enabling them to participate fully in classroom learning with dignity and confidence. By equipping children with essential educational tools, the project promotes school retention, improves learning outcomes, and supports long-term social and economic empowerment.

Problem Statement

Children in Pakistan’s marginalized communities face significant barriers to education. Extreme poverty forces families to prioritize survival over schooling. Many parents cannot afford even the simplest learning materials, such as notebooks or pencils.

As a result:

  • Children attend school unprepared or embarrassed.
  • Learning becomes difficult and frustrating.
  • Attendance becomes irregular.
  • Dropout rates increase.
  • Many children return to labor instead of continuing education.

Without access to basic study materials, education loses its effectiveness and sustainability.

Project Objective

To provide free, complete study kits to 200 poor school children to improve their participation in education, enhance learning outcomes, and reduce dropout rates.

Project Description & Activities

Each beneficiary child will receive a study kit containing:

  • Exercise books
  • Textbooks (as required)
  • Pencils, erasers, sharpeners
  • Color pencils or crayons
  • Geometry box

Project activities include:

  • Identification and registration of beneficiary children
  • Procurement of quality educational supplies
  • Assembly and distribution of study kits
  • Monitoring of attendance and academic engagement
  • Reporting to donors and stakeholders

Expected Outcomes

  • 200 children equipped with essential learning materials
  • Improved classroom participation and motivation
  • Increased regular school attendance
  • Reduced dropout rates
  • Enhanced confidence and dignity among children

Long-Term Impact

This project will contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and child labor by enabling children to stay in school, gain an education, and develop skills needed for future employment. Educated children become empowered individuals who strengthen families, uplift communities, and contribute positively to society.

Budget Overview

Total Budget: USD 7,000
Funds Raised: USD 350
Remaining Required: USD 6,650

The budget covers procurement of supplies, packaging, distribution, monitoring, and reporting.

Current Need and Appeal

So far, USD 350 has been raised, leaving a funding gap of USD 6,650. Your support is urgently needed to ensure that 200 children receive the learning tools they need to stay in school.

In addition, further support will enable Moses Welfare Foundation to expand school huts for brick kiln children, creating safe learning spaces for those currently without access to education.

Conclusion

Education is the most powerful tool for social change. By supporting Free Study Kits for 200 Poor School Children, you are not only providing stationery, you are providing opportunity, dignity, and hope.

We respectfully invite you to partner with Moses Welfare Foundation in shaping a brighter future for Pakistan’s most vulnerable children.
