From Exploitation in Mines to a Hope Filled Future

Thank you so much for supporting this vital Project which gives hope to children who had been working in the mines. Children as young as twelve years can be found doing backbreaking work digging for minerals in very poor conditions with little financial reward. They have foregone education in order to support their families and their future is bleak. 

Kimbilio has been able to rescue children from the mines and give them food, clothing, medical care, accommodation and the opportunity to restart their education. Suddenly, a better future is possible for these children. Kimbilio believes that every child should have the opportunity to follow their dreams and your support enables this to happen.

Thank you so much for your financial support for the Kimbilio Project to provide a hope-filled future for children who have working in the mines. Children are exploited in the mines, doing hard physical labour for poor rewards. There is little in the way of health and safety measures and children can incur injuries in their daily work.

Kimbilio offers these children a place of safety and a place where they will receive care and attention. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to attend the Kimbilio school and receive the education that will be key to them getting good employment when they are older. These children suddenly have a hope-filled future and we see this reflected in the smiles on their faces.
