Hi, Thank you so much for your financial support for this important Kimbilio Project which brings hope into the lives of young children. Working in the mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo is an arduous task, very difficult for the bodies of these young children to bear and they are separated from their peers and denied the chance of an education.
The Kimbilio team of carers in Lubumbashi bring safe accommodation, regular meals and the opportunity of an education at the Kimbilio School. It is heartwarming to see the difference in the lives of these young children and they feel valued and loved. Their future now is filled with hope.

Hi. Thank you so much for your financial support for this vital Kimbilio Project which enables children who have been working in the mines near Lubumbashi to be given a future away from this dangerous environment. Children are cheap labour for the mine companies and their welfare is not prioritised. The Kimbilio team of carers in Lubumbashi provide safe accommodation with food, water, clothing, medical care and an environmemt where the children are cared and valued.
These former mine workers are given the opportunity of going to the Kimbilio School where they can learn with their peers and gain the education that will enable them to have a brighter future than the one they were rescued from. In addition, efforts are made to contact the children's families to see whether it is possible to reintegrate them.

Hi, thank you so much for your financial support for the Kimbilio project to give a hope-filled future to children who have exploited by labour in the mining industry. Every child deserves the opportunity of an education and to able to pursue a future that uses their skills and interests and Kimbilio continues to help children who have been working in poor conditions with low pay in the mines in the DRC.
The Day Centre in Lubumbashi is the first point of contact for young street children with the Kimbilio team of carers. In 2024, we saw on average 38 boys and 9 girls each day that it was open. The children are provided with food, clothing, washing facilities, medical care for the cuts and bruises sustained on the streets and a listening ear to understand their story on how they came to live on the streets. Many of the children will join the Kimbilio School and be able to catch up on the education that they have missed. Others will be reintegrated into their families. It is amazing to see the difference that the Kimbilio team can make with the support of people like yourself.
Thank you again for your support.
