Changed lives

By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support

In 2021, the Congo Children's Trust looked after an average of 25 boys in their short and long-term houses. These are children who have previously worked in the mines or who were in danger of being put to work in the mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In addition, a furtther forty boys were helped at the Day Centre which the Trust runs three days a week. The boys all received clothing, food and medical attention.

This year, the Trust opened a Kimbilio Primary School in October and so the boys were able to receive quality education alongside children from the school neighbourhood whose families are too poor to afford normal school fees.

Thank you for your support for the work of the Trust. This has enabled us to change the lives of children who, through no fault of their own, were forced to work in the mines or live on the streets.
