By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support
Thank you for your generous donations to the Kimbilio Project of giving a hope-filled future to children living on the streets in the Democratic Republic of Congo who are used as child labour in the country's mines. Through your support we have been able to build a school so that the children receive the education necessary to give them a positive future.
In 2022, the Kimbilio Day Centre in Lubumbashi helped an average of 46 boys and girls every day. These children were given food and drink, a shower, clothes and a chance to chat and to make new friends. In addition, Kimbilio has two short-term and two long-term residential houses and in 2022 cared for an average of 48 children per month. These children are enrolled in the Kimbilio School and given the school uniform and exercise books they need.
It is heart-warming to see the difference in the faces of the children from when they first make contact with the Kimbilio Day Centre to when they have received love and care from the Kimbilio Team. Thank you again for your support.
