From vulnerable towns to University

It is a pleasure for us to share an exciting update on the collaborative project between Peraj Mexico and the Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) regarding the Culture for Peace. Thanks to your continued support, we have made significant progress in implementing this pilot project, which promises to positively impact our educational community.

In this project, four universities — Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana — have joined forces with the aim of promoting a Culture for Peace through education and the strengthening of emotional and social skills among our youth. One of the key stages of this project was the webinar "Mentorships based on Education for Peace" held in December, which was aimed at all mentors in the program. In this event, fundamental knowledge was shared, and the groundwork for the next phase of the project was established.

We are excited to announce that we are about to begin the workshop phase, which will last for one week. Over five consecutive days, our mentors will receive intensive training, dedicating four hours each day to acquiring tools and techniques to promote a Culture for Peace in their communities. These workshops will not only benefit our mentors directly but will also equip them with skills and knowledge that they can transmit in their mentorships with the girls and boys in the program.
