In December, the Food Bus team went above and beyond, hosting four days of Kids Clubs. These ensured that families had access to food and fun when schools were closed. Activities included festive cookie decorating, a trip to Vauxhall City Farm, arts and crafts, plus a circus performance.
The children who joined us were delighted with some great experiences, while enjoying hot, healthy food each day. We had great feedback from everyone who joined us across the events.
Our team followed these up with a Valentine's Day themed Club, during the February Half Term. Once more, families had a chance to join us for enjoyable crafting activities, plus healthy snacks (and hot drinks for parents).
We are now working on plans for the next school holidays, and will be delivering two more days of fun and food before Easter.
In addition to this work, we have also been reviewing our bus schedule, as well as exploring the possibility of setting up a Pop Up Shop in Clapham. We look forward to sharing more details on these in the future.
We continue to be grateful for the support of everyone who has donated to support the Food Bus.
