Dear Valued Supporter,
Thank you for standing with families in northwestern Syria during one of the most difficult periods they have faced in recent years. Your compassion made it possible to respond when help was urgently needed.
In early November 2023, Freedom Jasmine Organization (FJO) carried out a rapid winter emergency response to support families still struggling with the devastating impact of the February 2023 earthquake. Through this intervention, winter blankets were distributed to 100 female-headed households across affected areas in northwest Syria.
As winter approached, vulnerable families—especially widows, women with missing spouses, and displaced households—were exposed to extreme conditions. Temperatures dropped to 5°C and below, accompanied by strong winds and heavy rainfall, while many families were living in damaged homes or temporary shelters with little to no insulation.
Your support helped provide these families with essential warmth and protection. The blankets offered critical thermal relief, reducing the risk of cold-related illnesses, particularly among children and the elderly, and brought a measure of safety and dignity during the harsh winter months following the earthquake.
Because of you, families were not left to face the cold alone.
Your generosity continues to be a source of hope and resilience for communities rebuilding their lives after disaster.
With sincere gratitude,
