Melina, her husband Marcelo and their two children live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Melina contacted us because she needed to expand the small house she and her family lives in, which had only two rooms. In one room they had the kitchen and bathroom and in the second, a room for all the members of the family.
Thanks to the loan from Mujeres 2000 and the help of the labor of friends with knowledge of masonry, they were able to create a second bedroom on the upper floor, achieving the independence and privacy that the family needed.
Also, they managed to complete the plastering and painting of the new bedroom, and they rebuilt the ceiling of the kitchen and bathroom, which had serious leak problems.
At “Familias en Obra” we seek to solve problems such as overcrowding in homes, to achieve a better quality of life for each family.
Thank you for being part of our mission of creating equal opportunities in the local communities.
We continue to promote housing improvement to achieve decent housing!
