Once again, thank you so very much for your support! The Wise Collective continues to be in the forefront of advocating for gender equality, forcing change to ensure women’s access to justice and providing solutions towards shifting the power inherent in the patriarchal oppression of women.
Our work was recently recognized by the Global Citizen through the award of the 2020 National Hero Award for South Africa, click here to read about it and view the short video.
Over the past six (6) months, we have provided over 600 hours of legal representation drafting documents, responding to court orders, applying for protection orders and representing women against violent perpetrators as well as against companies that fail to protect them from sexual harassment.
The WISE Legal Team continues to forge forward, here are a few highlights from our recent successes:
Our efforts would not be possible without the generous support of donors, individuals and organizations. We therefore thank you for contributing towards our legal defense fund which enables us to secure the services of young feminist lawyers to represent women who otherwise would not see justice or hope in their situations.
