Horses in Nigeria are an integral part of culture, agriculture, and heritage. Yet, many face threats from neglect, habitat loss, and lack of veterinary care. This project will protect endangered horses, provide proper care, and promote awareness of their importance to Nigeria's economy, culture, and biodiversity
Horses in Nigeria face increasing challenges such as neglect and lack of veterinary care, leading to illness and premature death; habitat loss and environmental threats reducing grazing areas; limited public awareness of their cultural, historical, and economic value; and declining breeding and preservation programs for indigenous breeds. Without intervention, Nigeria risks losing not only its horses but also centuries of equestrian heritage.
We will provide veterinary care, vaccinations, and regular check-ups. Promote safe grazing and sustainable habitat management. Support breeding and preservation of indigenous horse breeds. Conduct community education and awareness programs. Partner with local equestrian organizations to ensure long-term sustainability. This project safeguards horses while preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
Horses are not just animals, they are a living part of Nigeria's history, culture, and economy. Your support protects these majestic creatures, preserves heritage, and ensures future generations can experience their value.
