Gaza Emergency Relief Fund

We are deeply grateful for your generous support—it made a real difference for families in Gaza. During Ramadan, our team and trusted communitybased partners delivered 500 food parcels. For Eid, 500 children were able to shop for new clothes and shoes because of you. 

On Saturday, March 1st, our team in Gaza and our CBO partners completed the distribution of 500 nourishing suhoor parcels to families across Gaza, helping them observe the holy month of Ramadan with reliable access to nutritious food.

• Each parcel contained nutritious items such as cheese, dates, and olive oil, along with fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as two handmade stuffed toys created by local women that brought moments of joy amid displacement.
• These parcels provided two weeks of suhoor and iftar, offering stability and peace of mind to families facing high food prices, loss of income, and displacement.

This timely effort brought meaningful relief when it was needed most. Families had been struggling to put food on the table during long fasting days, and the parcels provided immediate relief. Thanks to you, we provided not only food, but also hope to displaced families in Gaza. 

• One family who received a Ramadan suhoor food parcel from our CBO partner, the Women Programs Center, Rafah (WPC-R), said, “Seriously, it’s so luxurious! It’s completely perfect — nothing is missing. It feels like I went to the supermarket and did all the shopping myself. And the produce is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!” 

• Another beneficiary in Mawasi, Khan Younis shared, “I received the food parcel containing fresh vegetables, cheese, dates, juice, legumes, sugar, oil, and olive oil. The parcel had everything we needed and met our family’s needs, especially given the difficult circumstances we are facing. We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this noble humanitarian effort, and we pray that God rewards them abundantly.”

Thank you for making this Eid delightful for Gaza’s children. All 500 children went shopping for Eid outfits and shoes during the week before Eid, just in time, even though all but one crossing was closed. 

• Parents were grateful for this moment of happiness for their children and thanked all those who contributed for their generosity. Children’s faces beamed with happiness. As our staff member Belal reported, watching children choose their clothes filled them with such excitement that, for a moment, their hardships and struggles seemed to fade away.
• One of the beneficiaries was Mira. With a big smile, Mira picked out her Eid clothes. Her eyes sparkled, and her smile widened as she held her clothes. Mira wasn’t alone—smiles returned to the faces of Mira and 499 other children.
