The “Iftar for Gaza’s Children – Ramadan 2026” project aims to provide daily nutritious Iftar meals to vulnerable children affected by conflict, displacement, and severe food insecurity in Gaza. With families struggling to secure even one complete meal a day, children remain the most exposed to hunger and malnutrition.
During Ramadan, when food needs increase but household resources decline, this intervention will ensure that orphaned, displaced, and low-income children can break their fast with dignity. The project plans to support approximately 5,000 children throughout the month, delivering balanced Iftar meals through coordinated local partnerships and safe distribution channels.
The most crucial element of this project is ensuring consistent daily access to nutritious meals, as irregular food intake significantly increases health risks for children in crisis settings. Reliable meal provision not only addresses immediate hunger but also supports physical well-being, emotional comfort, and a sense of normalcy during a spiritually significant time.
Through transparent monitoring and community-based implementation, this initiative will transform Ramadan into a month of relief, nourishment, and hope for Gaza’s most vulnerable children.
