1,000 Iftaars Delivered in Gaza — Standing With Our Brothers & Sisters Since Day One"
Organization: Al-Khidmat Foundation Reporting Period: Ramadan 2025 Location: Gaza, Palestine
Project Update
In one of the most devastated places on earth, the call to Iftaar still rises every evening during Ramadan. This year, Al-Khidmat Foundation ensured that 1,000 people in Gaza did not break their fast alone or on an empty stomach.
Despite the immense logistical challenges of operating in an active conflict zone, our teams on the ground delivered 1,000 Iftaar meals to families, displaced persons, and survivors in Gaza — a small but meaningful act of solidarity in the face of unimaginable suffering.
Our Commitment to Gaza
Al-Khidmat Foundation has been present in Gaza since October 2023, providing continuous relief and rescue operations from the very first days of the crisis.
Through some of the most difficult conditions any humanitarian team can face, our volunteers and partners have remained on the ground — delivering food, emergency supplies, and hope to a people who have lost so much.
This Ramadan Iftaar distribution is part of that unbroken commitment.
What We Did
Each Iftaar package was prepared and distributed with care, ensuring that families — many of them displaced and living in tents or damaged shelters — could break their fast with a dignified, warm meal.
The Reality on the Ground
Gaza this Ramadan is unlike anywhere else in the world.
Families are breaking their fast amid rubble. Children are fasting not by choice, but because food is scarce. Mothers are doing whatever they can to feed their families in conditions that most of us cannot imagine.
Into this reality, Al-Khidmat Foundation's teams arrived — with meals, with compassion, and with a message:
"You are not forgotten."
1,000 Iftaars. 1,000 moments of relief. 1,000 reminders that the world still cares.
18 Months of Unbroken Relief
Since October 2023, Al-Khidmat Foundation has been one of the few Pakistani humanitarian organizations maintaining an active presence in Gaza. Our work has included:
We have not left. We will not leave.
A Message of Gratitude to Our GlobalGiving Donors
Words feel insufficient when describing what your donations have made possible in Gaza.
You gave during a time when many looked away. You gave to a people half a world away, with nothing to gain except the knowledge that you did the right thing. Every Iftaar meal delivered in Gaza this Ramadan carries your name with it.
Al-Khidmat Foundation thanks you — not just on behalf of our organization, but on behalf of every family in Gaza who broke their fast because of your generosity.
"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity." — Prophet Muhammad
— May Allah accept your giving and reward you in ways beyond measure.
What's Next
Al-Khidmat Foundation remains committed to Gaza for the long term. Beyond Ramadan, we will continue delivering food, medical aid, and emergency relief for as long as the need exists. With your continued support through GlobalGiving, we will not stop
