Meet Amol, a dedicated teacher, who believes that gender equality should be a necessary part of every teacher training curriculum and that all educator’s, like him, should take part in our program, preventing violence in schools.
Coming from a challenging background himself, Amol wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives, so trained to be a teacher in one of his local schools. He knew firsthand how girls and women are treated and wanted to learn more on how to be a changemaker in this.
After completing his training with our Violence Free Schools program, he is completely motivated.
‘I am inspired to make our school violence free’ Amol says.
Amol now strongly believes that education can be a tool to alter attitudes in society and shine a light on what must change. How he teaches has transformed, and he is more focused than ever to ensure girls feel safe in schools.
Our partners training courses help girls to feel liberated, so they can challenge discrimination and continue their education. Also, it means Amol can educate boys, helping them to understand gender quality benefits everyone. He trusts knowledge can empower others.
Thanks to your much needed support, projects like this can continue to empower individuals through education and keep girls in a safe school environment.
Thank you.
