The Gender Equality Campaign for 250 Youth in Katsina State is progressing steadily, with initial mobilization and sensitization activities already undertaken in selected communities. The project continues to engage young people in discussions on gender equality, equal opportunities, leadership, rights, and respectful participation, while preparations for structured training sessions, peer education, and advocacy activities continue.
Financially, the project remains significantly underfunded. The total project budget is $1,450, and as of this reporting period, $0 has been raised, leaving the full $1,450 balance required to complete the planned activities. Despite the absence of donor funding, preliminary activities have been supported through internal resources, volunteer contributions, and careful management of available resources. Funding is urgently needed for training materials, transportation, community outreach, advocacy materials, facilitation, and youth ambassador activities. With adequate funding, the project will be able to fully implement its planned workshops and community campaigns and reach all 250 targeted youth in Katsina State.
