STATUS AND PROGRESS REPORT

By balolebwami Marc | Director

  1. DEAR DONOR

We sincerely thank you for your continued support of the "Generosity, Voice of Biodiversity in the DRC" project. Thanks to your generosity, we have gradually added to the commitment of volunteers, making significant progress in preserving the biodiversity of our region.

  1. RECENTLY CARRIED OUT ACTIVITIES

In this progress report, we detail our achievements. We held three awareness-raising workshops on the importance of biodiversity for local communities. With the goal of reaching a large number of people, more than 113 participants attended these sessions, where we discussed sustainable practices and conservation methods.

We also launched a seedbed development campaign in preparation for growing trees. Two large seedbeds with over 5,000 seedlings are targeted at critical areas. This initiative not only contributes to reforestation, but also creates habitats for various local species.

  1. UPCOMING EVENTS

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting a community training event to celebrate biodiversity in the coming weeks. This event will aim to bring the community together, share our successes, and encourage active participation in our conservation initiatives.

  1. INSPIRING STORIES

The story of MUSHAKULWA SEPA, a community leader in the South Kivu province of the DRC, who recently adopted sustainable farming practices thanks to the knowledge acquired during our workshops and is currently transferring this knowledge to his community, had a strong impact on this project. This transition has not only improved their food security, but also strengthened their commitment to environmental protection.

Thank you once again for your invaluable support. Your contribution is essential to advancing our mission to preserve biodiversity in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We look forward to sharing more progress and success stories with you in our upcoming reports.
