Gift of a wheelchair to persons with disabilities project
We believe that the accessibility is a fundamental human right, yet it remains a challenge for many individuals with mobility impairments especially for the poor people who are unable to buy a wheel chair without a support. Wheelchair accessibility plays a crucial role in ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
In this project we are planning to offer 50 wheelchairs as an initial stage of this project, and we have raised the money for only 9 wheel chairs. We all know the importance of Wheelchair accessibility in public spaces, such as parks, sidewalks, and buildings, is essential for promoting independence and social inclusion. Without adequate accessibility, individuals with mobility impairments may face barriers to accessing essential services, employment opportunities, and recreational activities. The accessible environments contribute significantly to the quality of life of wheelchair users. Access to public transportation, for instance, enables individuals to participate fully in community life, access healthcare services, and pursue educational and employment opportunities.
Despite the progress made by Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary Organization in promoting wheelchair project, challenges persist, particularly in getting funds on time and we still have hope that, this year we can achieve our target.
In Summary, Wheelchair accessibility is not merely a matter of compliance; it is a fundamental aspect of creating an inclusive society where everyone can participate fully and independently. We request you to donate generously to our project so that we can keep working and achieve our goals.
We thank you for everything that you have done for our project, and we look forward to your continued support.
Thanks & Best Regards.
