Gift of a wheelchair to persons with disabilities.

Dear Esteemed Patrons,

On behalf of the Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary Organization (RWAYDAVO), I extend our deepest appreciation for your continued and generous support of our “Gift of a Wheelchair” initiative, which is dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities in Rwanda.

At RWAYDAVO, we are guided by the belief that every individual—regardless of physical ability—deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Thanks to your support, this vital project is helping us bring mobility and renewed hope to those who need it most.

Through this initiative, and with the partnership of the Wheelchair Fund, we are committed to distributing 50 appropriate wheelchairs annually to individuals across Rwanda who cannot afford them on their own. This project not only provides physical mobility but also restores confidence and enables greater participation in community life.

For the summer of 2024, our goal is to provide 8 wheelchairs to individuals living in vulnerable conditions—people for whom access to mobility aids would otherwise be impossible without organizations like ours.

We remain fully committed to this mission and are actively engaging new partners and donors to ensure the continuity and growth of this initiative. We are also excited to be participating in the July Bonus Day fundraising campaign, and we kindly invite you to support us once again during this important effort.
