Dear supporters,
Under this project, we continue to strive for the education and empowerment of girls despite the challenges we face. This past quarter has been a mix of achievements and struggles, but our commitment to providing quality education remains unwavering. Here’s what we have accomplished:
Islamabad Educational Trip
A group of 34 students including 12 girls was taken on an educational trip to Islamabad, where they visited the Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa Museum, and the Pakistan Natural History Museum. For many of these students, this was their first exposure to such landmarks, offering them a broader perspective on history, culture, and the natural sciences.
Khatmul Quran Ceremony
In a spiritual milestone, 31 students, including 11 girls, successfully completed the recitation of the Holy Quran. A small but heartfelt ceremony was held to recognize their achievement, raising a deep sense of accomplishment and religious connection among them.
Final Term Examinations
Education is at the heart of our mission, and this quarter, we conducted final term examinations. A total of 66 girls among 143 students, from Playgroup to Class 6, took the exams and were promoted to the next grade.
Spring Plantation Drive
Believing in a safer and greener environment for our students, we launched a spring plantation drive. The girls actively participated in planting trees and learning about environmental conservation, reinforcing the idea that they, too, play a crucial role in making the world a better place.
Challenges & Financial Constraints
Despite these achievements, one major challenge remains: financial sustainability. Unfortunately, we have not received any further donations. However, we refuse to let this deter us. We continue to push forward on a self-help basis, pooling our limited resources to ensure that these girls receive the education they deserve. The struggle is real, but so is our determination.
Looking Ahead
As the next session is commencing in the next week, we are committed to teaching our students the required skills and providing them with quality education. We plan to establish a kids' library to enhance reading skills and nurture a love for books among our young learners.
We remain hopeful and committed. Every small effort counts, and every milestone achieved, no matter how difficult, strengthens our resolve. We are very thankful to Dosti Welfare Organization in Pakistan, GEC in the US and all the well-wishers, donors and supporters for their support.
Regards,
