Gifts of the Heart: A Christmas of Love & Hope
Dear Supporter,
At the Moses Welfare Foundation, we believe that compassion is not limited by seasons; it is a responsibility we carry every day. Guided by our commitment to dignity, justice, and care for the most vulnerable, we work to reach families who are often unseen and unheard.
Through the “Gifts of the Heart: A Christmas of Love & Hope” project, we seek to ensure that low-income families, widows, orphans, and individuals experiencing homelessness in Pakistan do not face the Christmas season in isolation, hunger, or despair. This project is an invitation to restore warmth, belonging, and hope to those who need it most.
The Challenge
For many families in Pakistan, Christmas is not a time of celebration but a reminder of hardship. While others gather around shared meals and gifts, vulnerable households face empty kitchens, inadequate winter clothing, and deep social isolation.
Widows without support, children growing up in orphanages, and families living below the poverty line often experience not only material deprivation but also emotional abandonment. During a season centered on love and community, they feel invisible.
This is not only a matter of poverty, but it is also a matter of dignity.
Our Response
The Gifts of the Heart project is designed to respond with both practical assistance and human connection. We aim to prepare and distribute 500+ care packages, each thoughtfully assembled to address physical needs while communicating compassion.
Each care package includes:
Every package carries a simple message: You are seen. You are valued. You matter.
Current Status
The project has been active for eight months with a fundraising goal of $20,000. While we have not yet received financial contributions, the need within the community remains urgent and unchanged. Families continue to wait not for charity alone, but for recognition, dignity, and care.
This moment represents not a failure but a call for partnership, awareness, and shared responsibility.
Planned Use of Funds
Once fully funded, the project budget will be allocated as follows:
Every dollar will be directed carefully and transparently to ensure maximum impact.
Why This Matters
This initiative is not about a holiday; it is about restoring humanity.
It tells a widow she is not forgotten.
It tells a child that someone cares.
It tells a family that they are not alone.
By meeting immediate needs, we open the door to healing, resilience, and renewed hope. The impact lasts far beyond one season, strengthening families, restoring trust, and nurturing communities rooted in compassion.
Looking Forward
With your partnership, we aim not only to fund this initiative but to grow it into a sustainable program and eventually establish a Permanent Community Care Center where vulnerable individuals can access year-round support, counseling, and assistance.
With Gratitude
Your kindness has the power to transform silence into celebration, hunger into nourishment, and loneliness into belonging.
Together, we can ensure that Christmas and compassion reach every heart.
With sincere appreciation,
The Moses Welfare Foundation Team
