Rescue Junction protest against child marriage

Namaste to all our supporters

Many child marriages have been stopped due to Rescue Junction  during this pandemic time.

We have been working hard during this pandemic time and saved many lives specially girls.

One family was trying to arrange child marriage without her wishes and we received phone call to save the girl from child marriage from concerned people in the village  and our team rushed there and providing support to the girl and saved her lives from child marriage please see below..

This is the story when we got call from a girl to save her life. And her name wqs Pramilla (name has been changed), aged 14 years from Konch Police Station , District-Gaya. She was going to be married by their parents obvuisly agaisnt her wishes, and she was school going girl and doing very well in her school but because of poverty her parents finalized her marriage but she refused to marry. Then she made a call for help on the childline number 1098 and after receiving call we immediately approached the Child marriage probation officer in the district. The team reached to her house than we found  their family and relatives were preparing for pre wedding rituals then we stopped them and talked to their parents and convinced them that child marriage is a crime according to the law. Then we had done counselling of that girl as well as her parents . After all counselling with the support of authority and police involved the marriage was stopped and her parents submitted legal bond that they are not going to marry until she became major. And that’s the way we succeed to stop her marriage and she can continue her study.

Thank you for all your support and help and may you keep safe and well
